Since September 2017, International Convention for the Control and Management of Ship’s Ballast Water and Sediments has been issued and required neutralizer for ballast water treatment equipment.  Under this treaty, all vessels are required for applicable management for ballast water due to avoid damage against marine environment.  When de-ballasting it is effect to make harmless by injection of neutralizer in ballast water.  Each neutralizer is usually available in 25 kgs/bag. **Amount of neutralizer required to neutralize Chlorine.  This is theoretical quantity by calculation and may differ from the amount actually requires.
