The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) adopted the following amendment to SOLAS regulation II-2/10 regarding fire fighters’ communication: “For ships constructed on or after 1 July 2014, a minimum of two two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus for each fire party for fire-fighter's communication shall be carried on board. Those two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus shall be of an explosion-proof type or intrinsically safe. Ships constructed before 1 July 2014 shall comply with the requirements of this paragraph not later than the first survey after 1 July 2018." The JHS-431 is a 2 Watt UHF intrinsically safe transceiver designed for on-board communications in ship operations, loading/unloading, and mooring. The JHS-431’s intrinsically safe structure meets ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for use when transporting flammable, dangerous materials by Tanker, LPG carrier, LNG carrier and/or LO carrier, and meets above SOLAS amendment by MSC. 3 more communication channels can be installed as a pre-set option.
海事安全委员会(MSC)通过了关于消防员通信的国际海上人命安全公约第II-2/10条修正案：“对于2014年7月1日或之后建造的船舶，船上应至少为每一消防队携带两台双向手提无线电话设备，用于消防员通信。该等双向手提无线电话器具须为防爆型或本质安全型。2014年7月1日之前建造的船舶应不迟于2018年7月1日之后的第一次检验符合本段的要求。“JHS-431是一种2瓦的超高频本质安全收发机，专为船舶操作、装卸和系泊中的船上通信而设计。JHS-431的本质安全结构符合ATEX指令94/9/EC，用于油轮、液化石油气运输船、液化天然气运输船和/或液化石油气运输船运输易燃、危险材料，并满足上述要求。
